two shows coming up

The East Bay Plein Air Painters are having a group show at the Berkeley Yacht Club. I will be participating with a dozen or so other artists. “East Bay Views” will be on their walls from Dec 5th 2019-Jan 28th 2020. Reception Sunday Dec 8th, 4 – 6 pm at 1 Seawall Drive, Berkeley CA 94710 https://goo.gl/maps/1CasarMV9CRrn2pGA/. Come join the party and see all the lovely art from these talented people!

In Benicia, on the main drag (1st Street), they have an annual Holiday parade and art/craft market. The HQGallery, of which I’m a member, will have two booths near the gallery to show our works. It should be a fun event, for kids as well as adults. Saturday Dec 14th, from 10 am – 3 pm. 333 First Street, Benicia, California 94510. https://goo.gl/maps/3DhZbxYL6rCVayiB9

Epperson Gallery – Reception 5-7 pm Sunday

Reception – Sunday, July 29th 5:00 pm – 7:00 p.m

This is the Plein Air Paint Out paintings will be on display and on sale from 11 am, reception at 5 pm.

I was going to insert a photo of an finished painting, but I forgot to take pictures — well, you’ll just have to come see them! Here’s a detail of another unfinished one.

a start for Epperson Paint Out

I went back to Cavallo Point to start a new painting for the Epperson Paint Out, going on this week. This is the sketch so far – I’m thinking of ditching the bridge – it’s usually so corny and overdone! Maybe I’ll hide it with more tree foliage.

The fog was drifting in through the golden gate when I started, but the warmth of the day drove it out and theb it was gone. I hiked up the hill and ate my sandwich on the trail.
